As part of the Power to Choose (P2C) project, Norsaac and OXFAM in Ghana collaborated with traditional and religious leaders to raise awareness about Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), positive masculinity, and Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) in the #Garizegu community.

#Norsaac also distributed school uniforms, provided by Catherine Stockman (Garizegu Zosimli Naa) from #Oxfam international to adolescent girls and young women in the community.
This donation was a direct result of Catherine’s visit to #Garizegu in July, demonstrating her commitment to supporting education and empowerment in the region.

#UPDATE To strengthen citizens’ understanding of

#UPDATE
To strengthen citizens’ understanding of service delivery and foster greater engagement with local government, #Norsaac organized district-level meetings across 30 districts in 4 regions from August 5th to 9th, 2024. These sessions brought together service providers from MMDAs and USAID PAA sectors with citizens, including women’s groups, youth, GESI Ambassadors and PWDs.

The initiative reached 1,440 participants: including 1,200 citizen monitoring group members, 30 PWD representatives, 30 women’s group representatives, 30 youth activists, 30 GESI Ambassadors, 30 planning officers, and 120 service providers from education, health, water, sanitation, and agriculture sectors.
The Activity is funded by USAID - US Agency for International Development through Democracy International to contribute to improve public service delivery across five key areas (Education, Health, Agriculture, Fisheries and WASH).

Strengthening Advocacy on Inclusive Democracy project (SAID Ghana) recently organized a capacity-building workshop for head teachers and facilitators from 15 selected districts, equipping them with knowledge on Agenda 55 indicators and some channels for reporting SGBV cases.

This training will enable us to better track progress, evaluate outcomes, drive informed decision-making, and ensure we deliver high-quality programs that drive change.
